The increasing global consciousness towards environmental degradation and resource depletion has heightened pressure on organizations to develop active environmental policies, which will be in a position to sustain long term performance. Nevertheless, a number of companies, particularly in developing economies have remained poor in terms of how to integrate the environmental thinking into the fabric of strategic decisions hence have a low environmental, social and economic performances. The central research problem in this research is how multidimensional environment practices can help in sustainability issues within the organization because the research concentrates on corporate environment as predictor of sustainable organizational performance. The general aim is to explore the role of the concepts of environmental planning, monitoring and innovation, preventing pollution, and eco-efficiency which are the essence of environmental policies in explaining the sustainability performance development. The conceptual research methodology is employed as the data collection approach in the study, and the secondary sources are utilized (only as secondary data) to analyze the existing knowledge and theoretical opinions synthesizing the information in the scholarly journals, books, reports, and empirical data. The findings thus unveiled by the literature show that organizations that employ comprehensive environmental strategies are better placed in terms of competitiveness, adherence to regulatory legitimacy in operations and efficient operation and legitimacy in as far as the stakeholders are concerned. The research proposal recommends the institutionalisation of good environmental policies, strengthen the innovation of the environment, and incorporate the principles of eco-efficiency in the procedures of the organisations. It concludes that corporate environmental strategy is a significant avenue of those who organization desire to attain sustainable long-term value creation and improved environmental stewardship.
