Art appreciation courses, as an essential component for cultivating students’ aesthetic abilities and artistic perceptions, face the challenge of how to comprehensively incorporate knowledge from various disciplines and stimulate students’ interdisciplinary thinking. This research, through field investigations and classroom practices, explores the possibilities and practical effects of introducing interdisciplinary teaching models into art appreciation courses. The study combines content from disciplines such as art, literature, history, and science, employing diverse teaching activities aimed at inspiring students’ multidimensional thinking. It also assesses the impact of this interdisciplinary teaching model on students’ learning outcomes and the development of their comprehensive abilities.
